New Music Heaven : Sub Urban

When people ask where 19-year-old Sub Urban (Danny Maisonneuve) grew up, the only sensible response is "The Internet.” Growing up as an only child high-school drop out with an overly sheltered upbringing, Sub Urban was forced to make friends and socialize through the internet and gaming. This produced a talent who is incredibly savvy at engaging with people over a screen. Always with a dark, cynical sense of humor, Sub Urban is constantly referencing and relating everything to something on the internet. The cynical spirit that shows up in his humor is also present in his music, with tracks like “Cradles”, “Isolate” and “Drop Out” which lyrically mirror his experience growing up.

This week we're featuring "Cradles" as our New Music Heaven track. Hear it all week on 94/7, and text the word HOT or the word NOT to let us know what you think!
