Get ready to meet your new favorite all-star band.

The Jaded Hearts Club features frontmen Miles Kane of The Last Shadow Puppets and Nic Cester of Jet, guitarists Graham Coxon of Blur and Jamie Davis, Matt Bellamy of Muse on bass, and drummer Sean Payne of The Zutons offering up modern takes on '60s era classics.

“I read somewhere recently, which made me laugh, that rock is the new jazz,” says Matt Bellamy in a press release for the band's latest release - a deep cut cover of Marvin Gaye's “This Love Starved Heart Of Mine (It’s Killing Me)” featuring Nic Cester on vocal duties.

“It’s becoming an esoteric genre, but still with huge historical and cultural importance," Bellamy continues. "Like jazz, which often reinvents old songs, The Jaded Hearts Club is continuing the tradition of how bands like The Beatles and The Stones started out - finding great soul and blues standards and recording them in a more modern style.”

It's only the second release from the band, which was started in 2017 out of a necessity to procure a solid, and cheap Beatles cover band for guitarist Jamie Davis' birthday bash. When that task proved daunting, he had a lightbulb moment.

“I realised I knew a bunch of half decent British musician friends living in L.A. so I thought I’d ask if they’d come together to form an early ‘60s Cavern-era Beatles band," he explains. After keeping it a secret, they surprised the guests with a set that left everyone's heads spinning. “The place went nuts... and everyone had such a good time that we decided to do it again.”

Things have progressed since then, with the band performing at SXSW, as well as high society fashion shows, charity gigs, and more. While a full album release is still in the works, you can scratch that itch with their previous release; their take on The Isley Brothers' classic, "Nobody But Me."
